Welcome to Safe Kids
Lakeshore!
Accidental injury is the number one cause of death among children ages 14 and under in the United States. Also, each year one out of every four children needs medical attention for an accidental injury.
Safe Kids Lakeshore is a nonprofit, community-based childhood injury prevention program developed to reduce the number of accidental injuries occurring in our community. Safe Kids Lakeshore is volunteer-based and supported by grants, business partnerships and donations.

Michigan's Child Restraint Law
Effective July 1, 2008
Children up to the age of eight (unless they have already reached 4'9") will need to be in an appropriate child restraint. For most children, this means using a booster seat.
Boosters are inexpensive and may save your child's life!
Motor vehicle crashes are the number one killer of our children—we need to take steps to protect them.
